The CDE Department has developed this course in response to the very important need for the profession to have this resource to help cope with the increasing burden of regulatory requirements for dental offices. The Ontario Government has signaled they are going to focus on ensuring compliance and documentation of important employment and human rights policies required by small businesses, including dental offices.  Dentists who are unaware of these issues are exposed to significant fines and professional embarrassment via public exposure for non-compliance.  While the development of this course made the cost more expensive than other 6 point courses, we believe the value is well worth it in comparison to other methods of obtaining this information and, more importantly, compliance documents that can be created as part of the course. This Staff Version is only available to Staff Members of a Dentist that has purchased the Dentist version. The content is identical, but the cost is only $50.

All businesses in Ontario must comply with Ministry of Labour and Occupational Health & Safety legislation. More often than not small businesses, such as dental or medical offices are unaware of what they need to know and what they need to do to become compliant. By doing so they can avoid Human Rights complaints, Ministry of Labour investigations and ensure the safety of their patients and their employees. This year the Ministry of Labour hired an additional 175 Compliance Officers to ensure small businesses no longer fly under their radar.

In these courses you will learn what AODA & IASR, Anti-Harassment, WHMIS, and Worker and Supervisor Safety Awareness legislation is all about and what the legislation requires you to do.

By the end of these 4 modules you will be able to:

  • Ensure you are knowledgeable about the various legislations
  • Provide the required training to your employees
  • Prepared and posted your policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate to the Ministry that you are fully compliant
