HR – Recent Legislation Compliance Requirements - Staff Version
All businesses in Ontario must comply with Ministry of Labour and Occupational Health & Safety legislation. More often than not small businesses, such as dental or medical offices are unaware of what they need to know and what they need to do to become compliant. By doing so they can avoid Human Rights complaints, Ministry of Labour investigations and ensure the safety of their patients and their employees. This year the Ministry of Labour hired an additional 175 Compliance Officers to ensure small businesses no longer fly under their radar.
In these courses you will learn what AODA & IASR, Anti-Harassment, WHMIS, and Worker and Supervisor Safety Awareness legislation is all about and what the legislation requires you to do.
By the end of these 4 modules you will be able to:
- Ensure you are knowledgeable about the various legislations
- Provide the required training to your employees
- Prepared and posted your policies and procedures
- Demonstrate to the Ministry that you are fully compliant
